Cashbuild Sponsors Soweto Soccer Tournament

The community of Soweto hosted a soccer tournament that was held in the Cashbuild Soweto Soccer Field, Umhlaba Vision Foundation, based in Orlando approached Cashbuild to help to make the tournament possible. 

In continuation of the donation into the community, Cashbuild made a small donation to the soccer tournament. Mr Thabang Ndlovu, one of the organisation founders said “As Mhlaba Vision Foundation, really appreciate the efforts for helping the community by sponsoring the tournament. As the community of Killarney and the areas around us, Cashbuild has changed our lives in a way that we can’t even explain. We are humbly saying thank you a million times”.

Head of Community Support Initiatives at Cashbuild, Thembelani Tukwayo said that Cashbuild is committed to partnering with communities and this soccer field was a major demonstration of that. “This soccer field project is an important project for us and we can’t just donate and then leave. We want to ensure that the project is beneficial to the community and sponsoring this soccer tournament was a necessary step towards that,” says Mr Tukwayo.
